Is assembly required for adult bikes?

If you select our unassembled shipping option, you'll receive an unbuilt bike in a factory box that hasn't been fine-tuned by our mechanics (tools and assembly guide not included). To ensure your bike is safe to ride, we only recommend assembly in a bike shop by professional bicycle mechanics with specialty tools and training.

If you live near a PUBLIC partner store, you can place an order online and pick up your fully assembled PUBLIC bike, zero hassle. If you don't live near one of our partner stores, we recommend our Ready to Ride shipping option where you receive a bike that's been 99% assembled by our expert mechanics and is delivered right to your door.
